Elliott Rosenberg of Lexington, Kentucky grew up running on the track team and playing the tuba and trombone in school. His love for math led to reading Popular Mechanics in middle school. Although he did not fully understand the articles at first, his extracurricular reading sparked an intense interest in physics.
Elliott is a senior at Cornell studying Plasma Physics and has an identical twin, Max, in Chemical Engineering at Cornell. While working hard on his studies, Elliott has kept up his running, as a walk-on for the Cornell track team. His specialty is the half-mile/800 meter race. He feels this might be a good season for him.
Working here this past summer gave Elliott the opportunity to discover the many running trails and enjoy the beauty of this area.
Elliott hopes to pursue a Ph.D. program with Cornell in Plasma Physics but would be happy with a good university where he could focus on either Dense Matter or Quantum Physics.
